My new ASUS Z10PE-D8 WS will not POST. The situation is similar to a previous post except this is the -D8 motherboard (not -D16) and I am already using ECC registered RAM.
My configuration is:
MB: ASUS Z10PE-D8 WS
CPU: 2x Intel Xeon E5-2620 v4 (2.10GHz, 85W, 8 cores, 20MB cache, hyper-threading)
RAM: 2x KINGSTON KVR21R15D4/32 32GB DDR4-2133MHZ CL15 ECC registered
SSD: 1x Samsung 960 EVO M.2 PCIe NVMe 500GB
GPU: 1x PCI express that definitely works
For reference:
Case: Phanteks Enthoo Luxe PH-ES614L
PSU: EVGA Supernova 1600 P2 Platinum 1600W modular
CPU cooling: 2x Corsair H90 140mm liquid CPU cooler
Q-Code LED stops at b7, which based on the ASUS manual (p2-27) is "Configuration Reset (reset of NVRAM settings)".
The same happens after disconnecting everything from the motherboard (including SSD+GPU) except 2x CPUs, 2x RAMs, 1x 24-pin EATX power, 2x 8-pin 12V CPU power, 2x CPU fan+pump powers.
The same with only 1x CPU and 1x DIMM (on socket A1) or 2x DIMMs (on sockets A1 and B1). With 2x CPUs, DIMMs are on sockets A1 and E1. All these are the sockets designated by the manual (p 2-13).
The same after clearing RTC RAM and updating the BIOS to version 3304 (follow link to E5-2620 V4) via the rear USB BIOS Flashback port and button (p. 2-34 on manual).
Any ideas?
