So yes, I have looked this up. I already have an i3 7100 Kaby-Lake installed now. Do I even need to do a BIOS update to buy a i5 7500 Kaby Lake and put it in and start playing? And also, if my CPU is running at 100% when i'm running this main game I play. I get around 50 fps with a GTX 1050ti OC. Would this help my FPS problems because it's the only thing that's running at 100% when I play it. Thanks <3

No, if your 7100 is running on the z170 board, you don't need a bios update for the 7500. Yes, when running at 100% the 7500 will give you better fps than the 7100 as it has 4 actual cores. If you are play CPU light games or older games that are only running on a couple of threads, you wont see much of a bump. However, some game are CPU heavy and like 8 threads, this is where the 7700 has an advantage. But for most games, 4 cores and 4 threads is good enough.
