Not really , personal preference , I own a Z97 HERO and a Z97 Pro Gamer.

The Ranger's BIOS will offer a little more in the way of tuning/OCing features. Can use the comparison chart SR-71 referenced also to look for any specific feature differences if there are particulars you want/need

In addition to what Tradesman1 said, the Ranger appears to have an upgraded audio feature set in comparison to the Pro-Gaming.
