Z170 Non-K Overclocking

I have a asrock h170 pro4s and a intel i5 6600(non K) i have a person willing to buy my mobo and i can buy Asrock Z170 Pro4 for about 25$ dollars more. My question is is it worth it to buy the Z170 board and with older bioses does BLCK still work? And does windows creators update have any microcode that disables it ?

there have been rare cases but normally you can't install a version of BIOS older then the one your mobo comes with

But how are people still doing it ? I have seen videos on youtube from april 2017 showcasing it. They just download the bioses off overclocking.guide and flash them back.

then they must be modifying them to trick the motherboard to accept them. and if this is the case then you can easily brick your board with any of them
