Z170 PRO Asus compatible?

Is the z170 pro from asus compatible with a i7 7700? When I try to turn on the pc, it states that the monitor has no signal. I am plugging it in from the graphics card which is a gtx 1070 armor 8gb oc from msi.

I’ve tried another motherboard and works perfectly

Using the same harddrive and ok with losing data. Getting a SSD to install windows on also.
