Z170 vs x99

I want my pc mostly for gamming
Should i go for gigabyte z170x ultra gamming or gigabyte x99 ud3p

z170x for gaming, no doubt. It's less expensive and, for gamers, just as powerful. X99 is intended for other uses (design, multimedia editing and such), whereas Z170 is gaming-centric.
