hello all,
I've already purchase a z370 mobo with the intent of just buying a 8700k. however I've come to find out it may be in my best interest to just go with the newer 9700k. I plan on overclocking and watercooling, and it would seem that the 9700k is soldered which I'm theory should give me temps close to that of a delidded 8700k, without the hassle. Advice on this? Also, even though I don't have an 8th gen chip to update the bios, theoretically, couldn't I download the file to a usb drive from my current rig for the z370, and flash it once I have to new mobo and cpu installed, if I purchase a 9700k?
