Z370 Aorus Gaming 7 turns on and off 3 times or more before booting up

Hi I have a Gigabyte Z370 Aorus Gaming 7 board, i7-8700k cpu, Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 2x8gb ram and Nvidia Geforce gtx 1070 video card. Im running windows 10. My problem is when i go to turn the computer on it powers on for 1 or 2 seconds then turns off and it does this about 3 times before booting up. When this happens the bios changes back to default. The only settings i change in bios is the fan setting to manual. So any help solving this would be greatly appreciated.

psu make and model? cpu cooler?

The psu is Corsair CX750M and the cpu cooler is corsair h100i v2

check that the cmos clear jumper not on clear and that the cmos battery is in right. also if your mb has the usb flashback port flash it to the newest bios. one cause of resets is that the mb cant set the ram speed. the other would be two cards or two storage drives using same hardware info at post. if you have a gpu and a after market sound card make sure there not using the same irq. some pci slots like the video and first one do share irq.

According to GIGABYTE when your PC reboots twice and then it POSTs to BIOS it means that BIOS BACKUP kicks in. Try to do a full CMOS reset, if the problem remains, RMA the board.
