I have the money, i can buy a z370 or wait for the, b or h series, i should wait or buy the z370 , its worth the price? My build is i3 8100, gtx 1060 6gb, 16gb ram 2666, 1tb, i want to Upgrade in the future
I would wait for the B360 and get an SSD as your main/startup disk, keep the 1TB as a secondary.
I am thinking that the B360/H370/Z390 will have a small advancement than the Z370 and maybe money saved could go towards a SSD like maybe a Samsung EVO.
Unless you plan on upgrading to a locked CPU in the future and overclocking, I don't really see any reason to get a Z370 (assuming that waiting for B360 to come out isn't a big deal).
The only big advantage of the z370 chipset is the overclock? In the future I might buy an i5 to overclock but not in the near future, and I read out that the z370 chipset will only serve for octave, so it would not make sense to buy it if then a new generation incompatible with that chipset comes out, i dont know if it's true, if you can clarify it, it would be great
Yes, the main advantage of Z series motherboards is that you can overclock. Also, SLI support (but only some Z boards). Don't know what "octave" is.
You can see a comparison of chipsets here, not really much difference between 200 series and 300 series chipsets that I'm aware of.
