I've put together a new pc with an msi Z370 mobo and i7-8700k cpu. I installed everything into the case first and then tried to post but it didn't work. The fans all turned on but there was no display, I tried both with GPU and without, hdmi and dvi but none worked. So I took the mobo out of the case and have tried with just cpu and ram. It still doesn't work. Iv'e tried just 1 stick of ram, and even a different set I had but no luck. I've also reinstalled the cpu. I've also reset the CMOS. I've looked at the ram slots and they seem perfectly fine.
Any suggestions as to what I could do next?

Yes I have :
MSI 1151 Socket Z370 Gaming Plus D4 ATX Motherboard
EVGA 750 GQ, 80+ GOLD 750W psu
Gtx 1070
Corsair Vengeance LPX (2 x 8 GB) DDR4 3000MHz

I agree something looks a miss, but normally things like this are seen at QC on the motherboard checkout.
Using a magnifying glass, take a decent look and see if the pin is missing or just bent. If it is bent, you can just touch it lightly with a toothpick and put it back.
But I do think the bent overhook connector is gone.

Yea the pin is completely gone. I'm going to return the board, thanks for your help!
