z370e Asus strix questions Please help.

I have two ram ddr4 3000 from corsair (dual channel)

Slot 1 and 2 work with one or both modules installed but as soon as I touch 3rd or 4th slot it doesn't post. If I put them in the 3rd and 4th slot, there's no post even if I have another module in 1st or 2nd.

I already updated the bios and tried overclocking dual channel on 1st and 2nd and it works fine so I'm wondering two things.. 1: does it matter if I keep them in 1st and 2nd slot when its recommended to have them in 2nd and 4th? AND why can it be that they don't work.

Slot 1 (1 OR 2 modules): works
Slot 2 (1 OR 2 modules): works
Slot 3 (1 OR 2 modules): Does not work
Slot 4 (1 OR 2 modules): Does not work

There might be a bent pin in the CPU socket, or an overtightened CPU cooler.
