hello, i'm trying to make a upgrade to my pc and i so far have gotten an i5 9600 K and a new auros elite Z390 board, i wanted to use my old corsair vengeance LPX cmk16gx4m2a2133c13r since it is DDR4 but i can only get it running at single slot, whenever slot 3 or 4 is engaged the computer gets stuck in a boot loop, i have sent this back to the company i bought it from and they told me they did a minor fix and tested it and it worked, sent back to me yet it once again does the exact same.. i'm desperate help

I have tested both ram sticks in all configs, lets say ramsticks are X and Y , i tried going X in all 4 slots, 3 and 4 cause a loop, tried Y in all 4 slots, 3 and 4 caused a loop, tried having sticks in 1 and 2 , booted with the warning it wasn't dual channel, and when i moved one stick to 3 or 4 it got in the boot loop again (doesn't matter what stick)

i tried running it with no cpu cooler as i read it might be adding too much mount pressure (just a few seconds to see if it would post) reseated the cpu, checked for bent pins, etc

please help

Corsair ram especially the Vengeance series is always fairly good on compatibility. Have you tried clearing the CMOS and then loading up the optimised default profile. Also only have the bare bones before doing anything, so only the primary SSD and GPU. If that does not work, try to update the BIOS.

Also what is the power supply you are using and have you placed the CPU power in the top left of the motherboard?

firstly , thanks for responding :)

i did clear the CMOS, i loaded up the default profile and same issue persisted, i have also decoupled all my drives and plugged in only a drive with a clean windows install as i figured it might've had the slight chance of being that, no results.

I updated the bios earlier today didn't solve it.
also the PSU i'm running is a
Cooler Master MWE GOLD 750 Full Modular

edit: The psu, motherboard, and i5-9600k are the new components
