Hello
I need your advice for a stable, RELIABLE, motherboard that can operate for an estimated 3 years 24/7 powering an i9-9900KS @ 5.0GHz and that supports 128GB of RAM, please.
It will be powering a server that has bursts of CPU and disk load regularly every 20-30 minutes between +-05:00 - 22:00. (It has to have eight cores and the highest reasonable stable frequency.) It will be in an airconditioned server room.
I am in South Africa. I am busy getting quotes from online shops like https://www.rebeltech.co.za/370-intel-z390 and also Dell South Africa directly.
I saw that MSI motherboards now support 128GB of RAM https://www.tomshardware.com/news/msi-z390-motherboard-128gb-ram-bios,38330.html . Any recommendations, please? Also any recommendations on stable 128GB RAM kits, please?
In case you have any additional comments, here are my current proposed specs (I haven't build a PC for about two years or so):
Case: TBD/ NZXT S340 Elite / Cooler Master MasterCase H500P
PSU: TBD
Motherboard: What I'm asking you.
CPU: i9-9900KS
RAM: Kingston HyperX FURY HX434C16FB3K4/64, 64GB (4x 16GB) -- current placeholder only, I need to get get 4x 32GB sticks!!
Cooler: NOCTUA NH-D15
Thermal Paste: Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut
Drive 0: Samsung MZ-76E500BW 860 EVO SATA III 2.5 inch 500GB
Drive 1: Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe M.2 1TB
GPU: SAPPHIRE Radeon R5 230, 1GB, DDR3
Again, the stability of the system is of utmost importance.
Thank you
