Hello folks, I basically just got installing everything and once turning the computer on the motherboard shows 55 for an error. Looked it up and it states Memory or CPU. Reseated the RAM and same issue tried moving to another module same thing.

Question is. How would we determine if it is the RAM or CPU that is bad?

Items i have are below.

Solution
my motherboard manual (MSI Z390 MEG ACE) interprets "55" as "Memory not installed"

is your ram on the QVL list for that board?

PS - just took a look at your QVL list, the "R" at the end of the model number doesn't show up on any 16 GB COrsair sets, but i think that "R" simply stands for Red, ie the color the heatsinks are anodized,

you might throw a call to asrock tech support, if you get John, he is pretty sharp
