Z390 Taichi Ultimate stuck on Error 4C

Hello All,

I just did a new build and it doesn't post, the screen is blank and the dr debug code goes through the sequence 00 30 4C. It stops on 4C.

Spec are
i9 9900K
ASRock Z390 Taichi Ultimate
ASUS GeForce GTX 1070 STRIX-GTX1070-8G
2 x (G.Skill TridentZ RGB Series 16GB (2 x 8GB) (PC4 25600) F4-3200C16D-16GTZR) for 32G
2 X (Samsung 970 PRO 512GB - NVMe PCIe M.2 2280 SSD (MZ-V7P512BW))
CORSAIR AXi Series, AX1200i
Mushkin Enhanced Reactor 2.5" 2TB MKNSSDRE2TB

All the pretty lights come on but nothing else. I couldn't find what the 4C code meant in the manual. Any ideas?

Could be that the DIMMs (RAM) need to be re-seated. Check out the similar post to yours below.

Try with single ram module. Also try different ram slots.

You're using 2 dual channel kits. Right?
Should have gone with 2x16GB kit instead (or 4x8GB kit).

I will try with a single stip of ram. Shouldn't 4X8 work?

Should work. Yes.
But some rare compatibility issues are possible in your configuration.

Assuming a single stick works, and they all work independently as single installations, the next step would be to update the BIOS prior to loading up all the DIMMs again and giving it another try with all fully populated in their slots.

Thanks for the help everyone. I went back through and reseated all the RAM and everything came up fine!
