Upgrading my 6 year old computer and was installing an Asus Z390-A with an i7-9700. After installing and powering on the PSU, the RGB lights on the board would turn on and the green light in the corner would be on. After hitting the power button, the LEDs on the case fans would turn on for one second then turn off again. The CPU fan would not turn on and no display would appear. The indicator lights to show where the issue is rooted also would not turn on. After trying to hit the power button again, nothing would happen. Once the PSU was powered down and powered up again, and the power button was pressed, the same thing would occur.

The build is:
i7-9700k
Asus Prime Z390-A
Zotac rtx 2060 (the computer would act the same whether or not the GPU was installed)
G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4 2x16
Rose hill 750w
Toshiba 3TB

I’m almost certainly going to return the motherboard, but I’m unsure if I should go for an exact replacement or if I need a different motherboard.

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Rosewill is the brand of the PSU, while 750W is the wattage of the unit. Can you state the model of the unit(from what series)? Also is it a PSU recycled from the older platform? If so, is it 6 years old?

See if you can breadboard the system without the discrete GPU, with only one stick of ram and see if you can power up.
