Hello,

Why does Z490 motherboards support 10th gen Intel CPU with DDR4 3200, but Z590 support only DDR4 2933?

Or am I missing something here? Would Z590 support a Intel 10700K with DDR4 3200 natively?

I am asking because I have this CPU and I need a new motherboard.

Thank you

they still support OC. it the desc that wasn't clear

https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z590 Steel Legend/index.asp#Specification
10th Gen Intel® Core™ Processors support DDR4 non-ECC, un-buffered memory up to 4666+(OC)*
10th Gen Intel® Core™ (i9/i7) support DDR4 2933 natively; Core™ (i5/i3), Pentium® and Celeron® support DDR4 2666 natively.
Okay, but will I be able to select the speed from the BIOS without additional steps?
Cause i've read that setting the speed over 2933 would void the warranty?
