Specs:
i5 2500k cpu.
Ga-z68p-ds3 (1.0) motherboard.
Ocz zs 750w psu.
F3-12800CL9D-8GBXL ram.

Starts for about 2 seconds then turns itself off, and then back on in a continuous loop. I've tried almost every configuration I can find (without ram, without cpu, changed ram - exact same result). The psu has been tested with a multimeter and other motherboards and works fine.
I've reset cmos and replaced battery. I've tried forcing the backup bios but to no success. Never been able to get to post in any of this.

I'm really at the end of my rope here. Please if anyone has any suggestions please say before I bin it.

Here's a pic of the set-up:

Solution

You test the DIMMS by running RAM one stick at a time. One of them may have a short and killed the rest.

Usually when a system wont post it is because of a RAM issue. If the RAM checks out good, then there is an issue with the board, could be one of the DIMMs has failed and is causing the others to fail.

How would I test the DIMMs to find out?
