So i own ds3h gigabyte motherboard. If I try installing win 8 it says that disk is gpt format, and if i try to convert it to mbr it doesnt let me.. I have set everything in bios to uefi so i could install win 8 on gpt disk.. I copied win 8 to dvd without any software.. It worked before but now it doesnt. Also got some pics: imgur.com/a/pZcfL Thanks

Solution
To install on a GPT disk you need to have everything set up a specific way:

1. Boot the DVD/USB in uEFI mode (most bioes have 2 boot options).
2. The Windows must be the 64bit version.
3. The BIOs needs to support uEFI (looks like you're good for that.)
4. Make sure the media you're using is created for an official ISO file from Microsoft.
5. You MUST reinstall windows if moving from a previous install.

Also, if you're having problems you can try disabling safeboot, if your bios supports that option. You can re-enable it after the install.

Ok this is very confusing... If I select legacy only for boot and such, then it shows my hard drive and optical drive, if i set to uefi only then it wont show anything thats normal or?
