Hey guys. I installed my Xonar Essence STX and the output Is working great via headphones. The sound card has the options for output as follows:

1) Front Panel Headphones
2) Front Panel Speakers
3) Headphones
4) Speakers

Now I bought JBL Pebbles speakers but the problem is that they are USB plug and play. The STX isn't recognizing the speakers as a valid sound source when I cycle through the 1) 2) 3) 4) options because the Pebbles don't plug into a sound jack.

The STX came with an S/PDIF optical adapter and a 3.5mm to RCA cable, and the JBL Pebbles have an Aux In wire. I'm a newb at sound configuration, can someone guide me on how to get my speakers working with this sound card? Thank you.

Well those speakers have their own integrated sound card, they will install the drivers as you plug in the USB, so, If you chose to go with the USB input then you are not using the Xonar Essence STX. But you can actually buy an RCA-to-MicroJack adapter and plug the JBL Aux Input to the Sonar RCA Out puts.

Edit: Sorry, you dont need to buy it, just plug the 3.5mm to RCA adpater tor the pebbles Aux in, thats all. At your windows settings chose to use the Sonar as Deafult, and you are done. (You probably still need to get the USB Pebbles pluged to the PC so they get power, I am not sure about this)
