Hello,
I recently built a new rig which has been working fine for about a year until recently when I reset my computer only to find it would not boot up again.
I have a Z77 Extreme motherboard and the dr.debug says the boot process stops at 4F. I've read around and found similar issues that have been answered, but the weird thing with me is that with a few tries of resetting the computer eventually just gets past 4F and boots normally. So the error is happening most of the time, but not all of the time.
Edit: Also I should note that the computer does not power down after reaching the 4F error. The dr.debug numbers simply start over again from the begining and end at 4F, over and over again until I shut down by holding the power button down.
I've read that this error could be commonly caused by a bad CPU, Power Supply, RAM, or a corrupted BIOS. I'm sure it's not the RAM since I tested all RAM sticks, or the BIOS since it is now powered on, but I don't have a spare CPU or Power Supply to test. I have also tried clearing the CMOS
Does anyone have an ideas as to what could sometimes cause this error, and sometimes not? Here are my components.
SDD: Seagate 600 Series ST240HM000 2.5" 240GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

UPDATE: After clearing out my storage HDD and running scans on my SSD with the OS I found no errors or any driver updates that happened recently, but the problem is still happening. I shut the computer down and now it's have the same problem of getting stuck at 4F on startup.
