z77 Extreme4 onboard vs Creative SB Audigy 2?

Hey all,

As the title suggests, I'm trying to decide between the two. Just got this new motherboard, and I'm hoping that due to onboard improvements, the built-in might be of a good enough quality to replace the sound card. Is processing sound on the CPU that much of an extra strain?

So I ask you; which is better?

Add-on soundcards will always be better than onboard sound (except in rare cases where there are actual soundcards built in to the motherboard...just can't remember who is doing it atm)
