Hi, so I got an older motherboard and it is not posting. There are two bios on the mobo and each bios gives a different error.
The motherboard is a MSI Z77A-GD65, I know it's old but I'm wondering if anyone has experience with fixing it. I've tried resetting the CMOs on a bare bones set-up and I can't seem to get it to get past my error post codes. The CPU is confirmed working however, I am using a i5-3570k.
On Bios setting B, it loops with post codes and it will crash on Post Code 15, it will loop and shut off specifically when the display says 15
On Bios setting A, the board gets stuck with error code 69, nothing is outputted; no power or video display
I have checked the manual on the post codes and I have no clue what Early Northbridge Initialization or Late Northbridge Initialization is.
I'm not very experienced with motherboards so I don't know what my options are, is there any way to fix the BIOS on the board? I know RMA is out of question since it's so old and I am really not looking to buy a newer generation mobo as those require a lot of money to upgrade to.
Please respond if you can help me out, Thanks
