Question Z790, won't boot with 2 sticks of RAM

Hi y'all! Here's what I'm working with:

Auros z790 Master
2 Sticks of DDR5 6000, Trident Z5 RGB, sold together as a kit
CPU Intel i7 12700 KF

Here's what I've found so far:

Successful boot with either stick of RAM by itself.

Unsuccessful boot with both sticks in any combination of slots

What I've tried:

Updated BIOS to latest version

Tried several different XMP profiles, with voltages of 1.2, 1.3, and 1.35

Any ideas for me here?

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

For the sake of relevance, which BIOS version are you currently on for your motherboard? As for your ram, which slots are they populating on the motherboard?

Hi there, thanks for taking a look!

I am running BIOS version F8a, and my RAM is seated in slots 2 and 4.

Can you walk us through how you cleared the CMOS?

Please list the specs to your build like so:

Sure! I turned off and unplugged the power supply, then held down the Reset CMOS button the motherboard I/O for about 10 seconds.

Please list the specs to your build like so:
CPU: CPU Intel i7 12700 KF
CPU cooler: Noctua NH-D12L 60.09 CFM CPU Cooler

PSU: Corsair RM850x 850 W 80+ Modular ATX Power Supply
Chassis: Fractal Meshify 2

Thanks for your help!

Try this, disconnect from the wall and display, then remove the CMOS battery and then press and hold down the power button for 30 seconds to drain any residual power off of the board. Replace the CMOS battery after 30 mins. If you built the system, might want to see if reducing the amount of mounting pressure on the processor alleviates the issue.

Okay, gave this a go, still no boot with both sticks, sadly
