Z87-A NFC Not recogninzing ram

Hey I just bought a Z87-A NFC Express Edition
and have G Stick 2X4gb at 1600, when I look in the bios specs it says its running 1333. Any ideas?

Two things- Z-87 is a little older, did you update the BIOS? And two, assuming your running what, an i5 or i7, did you enable Intel XMP? I think you need to do that. But I am sure a smarter person with much more expertise can chime in to fix for you?

Hey, long delay, I was moving. So I attempted to update the BIOS and was seemingly successful until upon restart it got stuck at the Asus start up screen and I can't hit f2 or del to enter setup... so now I'm feeling really screwed. I installed the 2.0.0.01 update through ASUS website for the 4th gen i5 4950 and now I'm stuck here
