Hello. Today I decided to update BIOS. In BIOS menu it says that I have V1.11 of BIOS. I downloaded the newest version which is E7816IMS.1B0. Update went well, but when I went to BIOS I saw that it is the same V1.11 and I'm very confused now. Any help or information about this would be appreciated.

The most current BIOS listing for the MSI Z87-G43 Motherboard is v1B. I suggest placing the E7816IMS.1B0 on a fat32 formatted thumbstick and updating the bios from the BIOS using the update option.

It notes on the MSI website:
You must use one of the following methods to update this BIOS.
- Use MFlash to update "BIOS + ME"
- Use MSI LiveUpdate

Try booting into windows and using the bios flash utility (AFUDE238.exe). Extract it from the ZIP file and right click it and "run as administrator". Be sure and extract the bios file (E7816IMS.1B0) in the same directory.

I used MFlash "BIOS + ME.
I kinda do not want (scared) to update my BIOS from Windows, because there is MFlash which should work.

I updated my B85-G41 Motherboard BIOS using the windows utility. I too was scared to do the update from windows. But it worked, the BIOS was successfully updated.

If you wont update the bios from windows, you can try stepping the v1.1 bios up to the current version. This will be a long and tedious process, there are 10 versions since v1.1; Perhaps you can skip over a few...

But do you have any ideas why my BIOS version stayed the same after the update?
