Z87 Motherboard for i7-4790k

I am intersted in buying a new motherboard for my i7-4790k CPU cause I dont have oc support on my current mb , first question Z87 OR Z97 For i7-4790k .
Second which one is the best for those Z87 ( I can get them in a similar price range ) Z87X-UD3H VS Z87X-UD4H VS Z87X-D3H

Get a Z97. A Z87 will only work if it has a later BIOS version.

The majority of motherboards can only have the BIOS update done while a CPU compatible with the current BIOS is installed.

I paired my 4790K with an MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming Motherboard. I had a 500GB mSATA SSD lying around so I went with that board. If you want M.2 then you'll want a Z97 platform.
