So I ordered a suspiciously cheap motherboard z87-pro and I noticed that one of its socket pins has a missing head. I read somewhere on this forum that if its a VCC Or something like that it wont be a problem. Please send me or tell me where I can find the layout. I found a z97 online and judging by it the pin is VCC. But not sure if there is a difference in the sockets on different mobos. Thanks

you could try https://www.intel.co.uk/content/dam/www/public/us/en/documents/datasheets/4th-gen-core-family-desktop-vol-1-datasheet.pdf

it's right near the end, page 112 for what is what coordinates and list of what is what pin after that.

Personally, I would be concerned about any pins but only ones it could work decently without are the RSVD aka reserved for possible future use, which are usually taken to use on new generation of CPU's that require different connections from chipset side (and why some LGA1151 cpu's don't work on z170's among other things, like reshuffling pin layouts in general)
