Z87 Sabertooth Mobo Ram Issue

So I got a Sabertooth Motherboard for my wifes computer, I'm having A RAM ISSUE..

It works with one stick 8GB but when I put the otherone in, the PC fires up and shuts it's self off, the power goes on for like 3 to 4 seconds like it's trying to read the sticks then it shuts down/quits..

I had this same board a few years back, I vaguely remember a similer issue if it's not my imagination.

1. I took out the RAM, then put one in it started.

2. out the other in It quit.

3. Swaped the sticks out in the first port, both sticks start the computer; so its not techniquly bad RAM..

4. Updated the bios samestuff.

5. hoping it's not going to be the actual motherboard hardware, I have a total of 32GB I just can't figure out what I did with the other two RAM sticks Right now.. I can check if the board just happens to not wanting to run only two sticks & its just a wierd flaw..

for the time being I would like to see if I can figure it out anyhow.

Assuming that this : https://www.amazon.com/Asus-Sabertooth-Z87-1150-Motherboard/dp/B00CRJVZOM is your motherboard, are you putting the RAM sticks in the slots directly next to eachother i.e. 1 in a dark colored slot, 1 in a light colored slot? (I'm colorblind so one set is darker than the other)
