Which one is better (not considering the thunderbolt), Z87X-UD7 TH or Maximus VI Formula? Again, which one is more durable in extreme environments (i.e. hard gaming and overclocking)?

Solution
Maximus VI Formula would be slightly better for overclocking and build durability than the UD7,but the thunderbolt is really a big plus on the UD7.However,Formula has SupremeFX which offers enhanced audio, better than UD7 TH.Both of them offer enhanced OC features and extreme durablity, but as a Maximus Formula motherboard Asus is a bit ahead of gigabyte on this one.If you don't plan to get an external sound card and do care about sound quality, take the formula. And if you are in need for lightning fast connections then go for thunderbolt certified UD7 TH,both are extremely solid and durable mobos and has little difference in terms of OC capability and durability.

Anyway, Formula is very good looking.

If I do want that Thunderbolt, could I choose the Maximus VI Extreme? I mean, its more like "empty" in looks, unlike the Formula, which is suited with a ROG Armour. Again, it doesn't have CrossChill and will it worth the price, like formula?

Does it have a cooling solution like Formula? In fact, is it overall, better than Formula, I mean, what is the performance per dollar and watt and features relating to its class and durability?

In regards to overclocking they are both very similar. They both have the same power phases, as well as VRM Circuitry.

The Formula adds the option to put a custom loop watercooler on the MB without pulling the heatsink off, and replacing it. But I don't know if you will use that.

The Extreme adds 4-Way SLI and xfire.

The Formula has better sound built-in.

I don't need CrossFireX or SLI, because I'll just be needing a single card, but I do want better sound. And about that cooling, it's better if it's there, because I'm still not sure whether I'd need that CrossChill.

If you do need any infos, or should you think you're better provided with more details, refer to http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-1970439/gaming-rig.html

For that crosschill, I found I'm going to need custom built coolers from EKWB? Please recommend me one. If I do overclock in future, I'll be going for ultimate.
