Z97-A motherboard Wifi

So I have a Z97-A with built in Wifi, can someone tell me how to access this and what does it do for me? I know what wifi is of course but not to sure why it's inbuilt into my Motherboad, Do I have to find a way to connect to it? Does it do it automatically?
