Question Z97-A. PC won't turn on at all

Odd situation here. About a week ago my PC wouldn't turn on at all, press the power button and nothing happened. Unplugged cd room and everything was perfect until today when it did the same thing.

I've tested the PSU and it works, unplugged all sata power and data cables, run it without the GPU, replaced cmos battery. Nothing works.

Anyone got any ideas as to what's wrong?

How have you tested the PSU? If you just use a voltmeter that’s not a good enough test

that's not a test at all of a power supply's ability to provide the correct voltage and current. it needs load testing. if it's faulty, it will fail under load. So you have not ruled out a faulty PSU yet.

Did you check the switch on the power supply iteself and make sure that the power cord and power strip did not inch out of the sockets on all ends of everything? Are there any lights on the motherboard at all?

Did you check all the power connections I asked or just assume they are all firmly plugged in? That goes for all psu cables being used within the case also.

Reseat the memory.

Tested with another psu and it did the same thing, turned on and then off repeatedly also tested my PSU on a friends computer and it worked
