Hi! So I would like more storage on my computer for games. I have a 480gb SSD Sandisk Plus that has basically everything on it, I regularly use it, and a 1tb external drive I use for movies.

I want a bit more storage space for games so I don't have to keep on uninstalling stuff I think I don't want, only to want it after its gone -__-

I have a 40$ best buy gift card lying around, so thats where ive been looking. They have a Kingston 240GB Internal PCI Express 3.0 x2 (NVMe) Solid State Drive, but after looking at my motherboard im wondering if it would be a waste, because my mobo it looks like only has PCI express 2.0.

If you know more about my mobo then i do please correct me!

If I wont be getting any performance increase by buying the M.2 over a SATA SSD, I'd rather just get another Sandisk SSD like this 500gb Sandisk Ultra

Someone please tell me im reading stuff wrong and my mobo will work perfectly with the Kingston M.2 I linked haha

Solution
Just get another SATA III 2.5" drive.

An NVMe drive would wasted on that for both the motherboard limitations, and your use case.
