Hi.
I have a problem. I tried some new timings on my ram and the PC now are stuck in a boot cycle until I reset PSU and the PC tells me over clocking failed. But F1 leads to god d*mn windows instead of bios. So now I have instability and 1333 ram speed instead of 1866. I have removed the battery. I have tried bios flashback button on mobo. I have switched sockets on the ram (Kingston 1866 fury dimms) Do I dare do a manual bios flashback to an older efi fom asus website? Or could that brick my mobo? Because Im not in a spot where I could get another one right away. =)

1| When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs inclusive of your OS. Please list them as:
CPU:
Motherbaord:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

2| Have you made sure you're on the latest BIOS revision? IF so which version are you on?

3| After removing the CMOS battery, did you replace it after 15 minutes and then tried powering up?

4| If you must flash your BIOS to an earlier revision please follow the steps outlined in your manual+that you're working with a pen drive that is formatted in the FAT32 filetype beofre dropping the BIOS file onto it's root directory.

Solution
Thx for your answers.

Unplugging boot drive could be the thing that solves it. Will try it out later on.

I am on the latest bios, revision 2702.
I thought the battery only needed to be out like 30 seconds to reset cmos? 15 min the new standard? If so I must try that out again as well.
