Z97 board and pcie configuration

Hi I got simple question I can't find answer on - about pcie gen3 (16,0,0), (8,8,0), (8,4,4).

So if I understand correctly I can put my graphic card in any of x16 slots an it will be working at full speed right?

If I put two graphic cards for example in slot 2 (pcie x16) and 3 (pcie x16) they will work as 8x8? I don't need to put them in top pciex16 slots?

Bottom pcie x16 will work at full speed with one card?

ok, got it now when looking at board image - your card will run at full x16 speed ONLY in FIRST pcie slot.

what is your mother board? in many mid range boards you have to use the top two PCIE 16X slots the bottom one is often not 16X, but sometimes the middle one is not, hence why the board model matters.
