Z97 hero vii vs delux

Hi guys

Which one is better? I was about to get the hero but I found that the price of (the hero vii+wifi adapter) = (the delux) in my store.

I'm having a 4790k. For gaming and CAD applications.

I saw many people suggest the hero over the delux but in my case the price doesnt count. So, do you think I should buy the delux?

Either is a great mobo, I looked at both before getting the Hero, and the main advantage of the Deluxe is the Wifi, which I prefer cabled networking, and always have a half dozen USB wireless adapters around. I decided on the Hero in large part from working with the Z87 Hero (class of the Z87s) and a few builds on the Z87 Deluxe. I'm glad I went the Hero, it takes all I throw at it (which is a lot, between work and testing other components), OCs better, and seems to run a bit cooler....I also like the looks better, not that that should be a big determining factor.

But the deluxe has 16 phases while the hero has 8+2. Doesn't that help the performance of the deluxe over the hero?

I didn't notice any real difference in OC ability from it when I was testing with them
