Solution

You're fine, upgrade to the 4690k and the RX480 to see great gaming improvements. The SSD will also be money well placed.
If your system is under a year old, it isn't worth upgrading everyone again. Reuse your parts, and upgrade where needed.

The 4690k is a good processor, and will over clock well on the existing Z97 board. I would look for it used or refurbished to lower the cost.
The SSD is a good choice, and will work on your existing motherboard.
I added a 1TB hard drive, for mass storage.
The GPU is releasing very soon, offers greater performance than the GTX 970, at a fraction of the cost.

There is no point buying a brand new system, if yours is literally less than a year old.

Best of luck!

my power supply is EVGA SUUPERNOVA GOLD 650W
