Know its a bit OT, but wondering if anyone else is having same problem.
Just updated to ZA Pro version 6.0.631.003. Opted to leave settings as is
for the install, notify me when anything attempts access to the internet for
my approval/disapproval.

After install, a few things access without my approval that I know about:
Spysubtract and AdSubtract. IE 6.0.2800.1106 128 bit cipher cannot and ZA
Pro never asks me for permission. I have to disable outbound protection
completely for IE to access the internet. Same with ISP oriented email from
Outlook or MailWasher Pro.

ZA Pro did find one instance of Alexia keylogger in the registry, and
quarantined. Tried restoring this, and nothing changed.

Right now, all outbound protection is disabled so I can read email, surf,
and talk to you guys on the newsgroups.

Never mind. The option for autochecking for an update within ZA Pro has no
facility for seeing if the update is applicable to the OS. The noted update
is for Win2K and XP only. Luckily, I made an image backup of the 98SE
partition before applying the update.

The last update applicable to 98SE for ZA Pro has no facility for scanning
for spyware. Even though the some amount of monies is paid for the
licensing...

I updated and used the 'clean' install choice on my Win98SE system and it is
working just fine, AFAIK.
ZApro shows the version to be 6.0.631.003.

NOTE:
It also scans for spyware on my Win98SE system and it did find one from GameSpy
that I had used a few years ago.

The zonelabs site says its for XP/2K only, so I'll sit on the sidelines for
a few weeks first, then decide. There's an upgrade problem that they
acknowledge in their forum header for this version (6.0), they recommend a
clean install.

If any of you folks are running SpySubtract Pro, there's a similar problem
with upgrading to the latest version (3.0). Its for XP/2K only as well.
TrendMicro bought out the parent company, Intermute.

The writing on the wall is obvious, 98/ME users will be left behind soon.
Internet access is going to be less secure for those users.

I did the clean install option and I am not having any problems with it on my
Win98SE.
The clean install will automatically uninstall your old ZA and automatically
install the upgrade.
All your settings are lost, but for me, it was only a minor inconvenience.
However, I am surprised that ZA didn't automatically let me know that the update
was only for 2000 and XP and prevent its install on my Win98SE system.
That being said, it is working without a hitch, AFAIK.
