So i installed my Zalman CNPS10X Extreme facing the rear of the case because facing it to the front would go over my ram slots in the motherboard because of how big it is. Ive ran Real temp on my cpu when i was using the stock fan and it was idle at around 37c. After installing the CNPS10X Extreme the way i installed it the temperature on real temp was still around 37c. Did i do something wrong? I followed the tutorials online but in most of them the cooler was facing front. but im using a MATX motherboard so i cant do that. Ive seen some installations online of it facing the rear aswell. any help would be appreciated. Ive heard of temperatures going as low as 27c or less with this. I am using an i5 4570 Haswell CPU.

I dont understand though why im getting 38-41c idle with a pretty decent cpu cooler.. People with haswell cpu's have gotten 30 or below with this cooler. and it isnt too hot in my area. Any idea why im getting same temps as my crappy stock fan? Seems pretty impossible to me for the temp to just sit there even with a cooler that likely decreases your temp by 10c.. and not keep it the same. Is the positioning wrong with it facing the rear? I removed my rear fan that came with the case and put it on top of the cpu cooler itself so it would have some space for the rear. I kinda doubt though my set up would keep my temps the same. My set up is the cpu cooler facing the rear, the default case fan on top, default case fan in the front. alot of airflow there.. Tried setting fan on the cooler to max. no difference. So i just leave it at auto. Help please would be appreciated.

84c at 98.9% load.. This isnt right.. Ive heard that you get around 50+ on 95% load. Its placed pretty good. I put thermal paste the size of a pea and spread it all around. Its facing the rear of the case because i have no space ot face it to the front. But i dont think there would be a difference considering there are set ups of this exact cpu cooler facing the rear aswell.. It is practically brand new so i doubt it would have any problems really.. but that's a huge increase in temperature than promised. help please 🙁
