Hello I am currently running a P4 2.4C Ghz CPU and was thinking about getting a Zalman CNPS7000-AlCu to silently cool this CPU but I have some concerns. I guess my first concern is how silent is it? I would like to run it around 2000 RPM if possible but still get relitivly decent cooling. My second question is how easy or difficult is it to install on my Gigabyte GA-8IK1100 motherboard, because I have also read it does not stay were its suppose to. Anyway any guidence on this product would be appriciated. Thanks

I'll happily share my experience, but please post messages in the correct forum, not under CPU's in future.

The 7000 AlCu is excellent, works fully, and cools very well indeed. Can't give you exact temperatures, but at it's lowest/slowest setting, still seems to cool as well as the stock intel cooler did. In my opinion.
