I was wonder what any one thinks of this Zalman, it looks freakin sweet and Maximum Pc said it was a kick ass product. Also, how does it compare to Thermal Take's big typoon?

What i did is Got the 120mm Zalman Pure Copper

lapped cpu with 600,900,1200,2000 sandpaper
Used Artic Silver 5 thermal paste

And im cruising @1.9ghz with my A64 3000+ @25C idle and 33C full load with a room temp of 22C. Pretty soon ill get a new mobo (DFI Lanparty Ultra) and push the fsb to 260 and run my 3000+ @2.4ghz...ya that is fx53 lmao

SI-120, good fan, and your solid.

SI-120 cools better then the zalman because you can choose a low noise fan or you can choose a higher noise but much more airflow kind of fan.

THe SI-120 cools better and has more flexablity for you in the long run.....

agreed as far as performance goes, but the zalman is one nice piece of engineering! if only they can scale it up to the 120mm category and i'm pretty sure it'll outperform the si-120

I tried the SI 120 & the Zalman 9500.
I got better results with the Zalman. The Zalman is somewhat reliant on your rear case fan. If there is good alignment with the rear exhaust fan the Zalman will cool better. I have a DFI LanParty Expert mobo & the layout of that board allows the Zalman to sweep the hot air away from the memory too. The case is a Lian Li & the rear fan & Zalman 9500 excel at keeping my system cool. I wish I had recorded the temp. differences between the 2 coolers but I was rushing to get the proper setup. I'll add this to my list of things to do.
