The back plate on the dq6 is in the way of the support bracket for the cpu cooler, and i dont kno what i should do to make it fit. anyone else have this problem or figured out how to solve it?

Just remove the back plate, it comes off neatly after removing 2 or 3 screws. I don't think the cooling suffers much from this, although the chipset runs quite hot.

There are three screws holding the "Crazy Cool" plate on, plus two nylon pins. Remove the three screws. You will need to pinch the legs of the pins to get them to release from the plate. Don't take the pins out - they're needed to hold the northbridge cooler on.

Theres no need to take the cooling plate off of the motherboard. Just cut the corners with the nuts off of the backing plate provided by zalman. Thats what I did and it works fine!

And what do you screw the top half of the Zalman mounting plate to after the nuts are gone?

you toss the rest of the bracket and use the corners you cut off with the bolts embedded in them.

works seamlessly.

wont that put extra stress on the mobo tho. the cnps9500 is a big cooler with a lot of its weight farther away from the mobo.

The copper back plate also provides plenty of rigidity. Unless you cart this around to LAN parties or have occasion to handle it roughly, mount the thing and be done with it. There is a thread at extremeoverclocking about using the OEM bracket with standoffs if you are so inclined. I asked the same questions that you did when I first encountered the crazy cool plate.
