Anyone had this setup? My stuff should be arriving tomorrow. Will the VGA block fit on the 7950? Should I just leave the VGA block off altogether?

Cheers

Yeah, the Zalman. Nevermind. I'll just have to go with the cooling it comes with. Unless someone can recommend something quieter/better?

The stock cooler for the 7950GX2 runs pretty cool in a case with good airflow. Almost the same as the cooler for the 7600,7900GT :)

Would you be will to donate some of that excess cash in your bank account to a worthwhile charity? Come on, adding a water cooling solution to a pc. Are you kidding?

If you weater cool the GPU as well it will just restrict flow to your CPU....

And the heat taken from your GPU will be put into your water loop so now your CPU water block wont be as cool.... (only a slight difference)

IF your GPU can handle the heat and the stock cooler will surfice leave it alone!

Your priority should be to cool the CPU first..... think about the GPU later....

there are no commercial gpu blocks for the 7950 yet, probably because there is no demand, but a few companies are working on watercooling solutions

my 2 cents: there won't ever be a good waterblock for the 7950 because the top watercooling companies won't bother designing such a unique block for such a short lived card. so you'll be suck with small tubing, alu constructed POS waterblocks that asus makes.

I was going to leave this alone, but I decided against it. In short, no, i'm not kidding.

To other folks. Thanks. Should all be arriving today. I'm looking forward to getting stuck in.
