Zalman ZM-HPS200 Gaming Headset

I received a ZALMAN ZM-HPS200 Gaming Headset as an award. This set has two wires: one with a red plug, the second with a black plug. Could someone explain which plug is for the speaker and which is for the microphone? There was no instructions with the set and I have never used one before. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Doing some more searching, the black plug from the headset goes into the green port on the computer where speakers normally plug in. Testing the headset, with a music cd in the computer, music was heard in the headset.

I have the same headset, on the black plug if you look closely you can see a pair of headphones indicating the headphone slot on the front of the computer, the other plug plugs into the mic port.
