So I have a ZEB G41 D3 mb.
I read on many of the posts in this forum that some users are able to use 2 x 4GB DDR3 (total 8 gb) on this motherboard.

However I can't get the mb to detect 4gb in any slot. There is no dispaly. Works fine on 2x 2gb ddr3 though.

Can someone guide me how to make this mb take a 4GB simm in each slot.

Thanks

Solution
I had also P5G41 it says 8GB but it cannot run it for some reason, and these motherboard generally use chipset and sell it as cheap alternative.

Try this;
1.st Clear CMOS and boot up with 2GB ram to the bios and check,shutdown, after that add 4GB for total 6GB of ram if it boots, shutdown, exchange 2GB for 4GB and boot up with total 8GB.
Yeah sounds weird but it works (for mine).

Which CPU you are having and rams, brand with timings and speed, for example DDR2 800MHz 5-5-5-12 1T 2.3V (it should be sticker).

Will try out your solution and see.

I need information from sticker of ram because of this, its usually problem with older generation boards, thats why i asked and told you about single sided and double sided ram.

From what i have seen on multiple web pages this mobo can only have a maximum of 4GB of RAM. Could you maybe link some of the post where people said they have 8 gigs?

Funny. One of the 2 motherboards accepted 4GB and the second one refuses to do so! Tried the swap technique by robert and it worked. Unfortunately just on one. So not sure what gives.

Also, the original RAM I wrote about didn't work . The one that worked was with the chips on both sides. I had a pair of 4gb each and only one of those is accepted although they are just a few serial numbers apart.
