Almost. Those notebooks are faster and cheaper than the BASE model.

Read the rest of the article. You can configure it up to a 2.8GHz dual core. No 14" laptops have that on newegg. Fastest is the 2.53GHz you found.

So, yeah, Zepto probably has the fastest 14" laptop but also one of the priciest you can find. What else would you expect?

Oh, and my standard statement of the fact that this article isn't a new technology but merely an advertisement for Zepto. Congrats THG, yet another person you employ that I wish to be fired. That's pretty much your entire staff right now. Sure it isn't time to downsize with the economy as it is?

Well, if you check out the website, this article is already false. The highest processor available is the Core2 Duo P9500 2.53GHz FSB 1066MHz 6MB. Also, there is no option for a 9-cell battery. Then again, I'm just ananonymous poster...

I'v got a "Zepto Znote 6214W" for the last 2 Years (mid 2006) with a GeForce GO 7600 512Gb, T2400 etc ... and i must say that during those last 2 years i never thought changing, I'm a Software professional (everyday intensive use), and my only problem is the lack of CPU (it's a 1.8 Core Duo), because all other specifications are perfect even for Gaming. The construction is solid, and never had a single hardware problem. Since I'v bought it, I quit using Desktop computers. The cons are Battery and some Noise from the cooling fan.

I think Nox 14 may be a good successor for my 6214W.

i have an alienware m14x r2 that has an intel core i7 3610qm in it at 3.3 ghz that would blow this away 1gb of ddr5 graphics memory 12gb ddr3 ram 750gb hard drive 7200rpm would blow this away any day
