The gist of what I want to do:
Hook up gaming PC in my guest room.
Broadcast it through LAN to a thin client.
Use multiple thin clients to broadcast it to my room to play games, living room to watch movies, garage to stream movies.

My question:
What issues would I run into sending a signal like that to two 2k monitors?
Frame rate lose over the network or would there be a way to broadcast 144fps?
Any other hidden issues that I might not be seeing?

This clients are good for PowerPoint. Not gaming.

And thin clients aren't any cheaper. The cost savings only come into play with central management. The client hardware still costs money, and the seerver to host them costs a LOT of money.

Just was thinking it might be a fun project. Also If I keep the main PC in another room, It will keep my office/bedroom cooler while in the summer.

I have a Server in my house booting a media server for the living room, and a VM in the garage to stream music while working out. I just have never seen actual graphics streamed over a network cables. Thought it might be a cool idea. Also say if a friend comes over and wants to play a pc game while I am playing something, I could boot another VM and split the graphics card between both PC's and both people could be playing with just one PC. That is more of the extreme though.

Just seemed like it would be a fun project. The more I look though the more it doesn't seem that thin clients can handle the load.

Sounds like you want a Steam Link or similar device. Have you looked into that? Not sure how it would work with dual monitors.

Also, a VM for streaming music? Seems overly complex. So does using a thin client to stream movies. Use the right tool for the job. Plex and something like a Fire TV or Roku would be cheaper, easier, and work much better.
