I do not know a thing about computers, but wanted a new desk top that was better than my Toshiba laptop for video editing. I figure light gaming and studies will work great with what I get for the editing. Any suggestions on where to start for like 600 bucks?

Solution
This system would be pretty flexible and has upgrade potential.

Solution
Antec VP series of power supplies are Tier three, I don't recommend them although there may be nothing major wrong with it

this option is better considering its basically the same build and it's cheaper. the antec PSU will be just fine for a low-ish end build. i'd say use the extra money for a gtx 960 or even an r9 380x if it fits in the budget

Simple, easy build. Lots of cooling, extra fans, easy in/out.
