zero percent gpu usage.

i have an i7700 and a gtx 1070. the day before everything was working fine then when i got on to play games after work my games were all getting about 30 fps and running soley off my cpu. when i check my system properties it says zero percent usage from the gpu. Does anyone know what could be going on?

please, dont connect the monitor to the back of the motherboard but buttom where the gpu is.
