When I swith on my computer I get the message "zHoykey has encountered a
problem and must close". This message repeats twice more before 'End now'
removes the prog from the task bar. I found that zHotkey is a 'Media Keyboard
Driver'
Although this does not seem to affect the performance of my machine it is
annoying to have to go through the routine above every time I switch on.
Any one any suggestions

zhotkey.exe is a process associated with the drivers for Chicony Keyboards.
It manages the special key functions such as Internet, E-mail, Volume
Control and more.

If you don't have a Chicony Keyboard, you can safely remove it, if you do,
download updated drivers from the webpage.
